U-PASS INFO

 
The 2011 Winter Term 2 U-Pass will be available for pick up anytime after December 13, and will become active on January 01. Students must be registered in courses for the winter semester in order to be eligible. Your U-Pass is valid from January 01 – April 30, 2011. U-Pass decals can be picked up from the Student Union office located in the Student Services Centre (UNC 133).

Federal tax credit for public transit passes

The recent federal budget announcement indicated that there will be a tax credit for monthly transit passes, including U-Passes. For more information, click here.

Quick U-Pass Facts

Where do I pick up my U-Pass? With a U-Pass decal, your UBC O student card doubles as a bus pass! Decals are available in the Student Union Office in the Student Services Building (UNC 133) during the school year. Summer U-Passes can be picked up at the UBCSUO used bookstore located at UNC 103.

When can I start using my U-Pass? Your U-Pass is valid from September 01 to December 31. Students that continue their studies in term 2 will be issued a second U-Pass decal in January, which will be valid from January 1 – April 30, 2011.

Is there a Summer U-Pass Option? The Summer U-Pass is optional and costs $45 for the entire summer (May-August). Summer U-Passes are available for purchase at the Student Union office, UNC 133.

How do I use my U-Pass? Simply show the bus driver the front and back of your valid student card each time you board the bus.

  • 97X UBCO/Downtown / RapidBus ..along Highway 97
  • 8 University – now goes to
    ..Rutland along Baron
  • 10 Rutland – now travels along
    ..Enterprise Way
  • 23 Lake Country – direct service ..to Airport terminal added
